Summary/Objective
As a key member of our organization, you support our customer, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by providing purchase card help desk support, systems support, and clerical assistance as required to the Purchase Card Branch in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In this role, you’ll assist the Indianapolis Procurement Office and support our growth in the government contractor industry through three key activities:
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Validate, set-up, and maintain customer accounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries and work to find resolutions.
- Train and support new users.
- Answers telephone calls for the Procurement Office and act accordingly.
- Research and analyze information in the card issuing bank’s system and purchase card system.
- Identify and report problems and errors with the card issuing bank's web-based system.
- Create various reports from spreadsheet data in response to audit and program requests.
- Analyze daily activity reports and recording, update and balance master spreadsheet.
- Create and maintain a master e-mail list of all participants in the Purchase Card program.
- Successfully complete transactions that are considered 80% highly complex and 20% moderately complex.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Travel
- Less than 10% within the US.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or 1-year equivalent experience such as help desk customer service support required.
- Experience in complex key entry, data verification, and production log statistics and maintenance.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to pass extensive and lengthy background investigation including a credit check and security requirements.
